JHCP Moving to Remington Row

March 4, 2015.  Johns Hopkins Community Physicians, currently located in the old Marine Hospital located at 3100 Wyman Park Drive, will become the anchor tenant in Remington Row. This is a Seawall Development project, located at 2700 Remington Avenue, that will also include 108 apartments and first-floor retail. JHCP will lease 30,000 square feet of office space in the building. Practices will include internal medicine, pediatrics, genecology, and obstetrics.

Seawall Envisions Remington Row

Ron Daniels, JHU President, said the lease reflects the University's efforts to help improve the ten neighborhoods surrounding the JHU Homewood Campus, but Remington knows it's about real estate and leverage.  JHU's economic developer, Andy Frank, stated that "Hopkins ca n leverage its resources in lot of different ways and real estate is one very effective way" of helping Remington achieve it's goals. The project will begin this month.

Seawall is focusing on the neighborhood for many of its development projects, having recently developed Miller's Court and the Parts & Labor Restaurants. Will Remington soon become Seawall World or Hopkins' Hub?
